On August 8th 2022 I led a party on a meander along the cliffs from Bundeena to Marley Head, exploring the odd nooks and crannies and enjoying the sights, despite a stiff, cool SE breeze!

Escaping the unit
We downsized and settled on 18th July. This being the first weekend since then, how did we go, given that the entire downsize was in order to escape into the bush, free of the constraints of a large house and garden?

The National Parks Association of NSW checked out this area within Royal National Park on Monday 14th February 2022. It has just been re-opened after a major upgrade.

The precinct has had a maeover. This pictorial, on a quiet Friday morning before the crowds descend, might give you a feel for the changes.
The Illawarra Escarpment State Conservation Area
We had a quiet, slow look at the area north of Sublime Point today. Track conditions were poor, raising the question abnout track design and construction if we are to protect the natural assets we want people to enjoy and that also raises the issue of budget allocations.
Of equal concern is evidence of illegal entry by trail bikes into this fragile ecosystem. Thankfully, the evidence today was not their actual presence but the trails they left behind….
But that will do for now. Just enjoy the pictorial.
