September 2nd, 2021 …. and a special day indeed!
Soundscapes and Colour Wheels: The Meadows, Warumbul and Allambie Flat
Here in Sydney we have arrived in spring and for 25% of the year we have been locked down, if not tightly, than more tightly than many of us wish.
At least we are able to meander over our LGA and that means we can visit much of Royal National Park.
One of our tasks in lockdown is to go back to the same site once a week and remove weeds. We have enough work to keep us busy for, well, Eternity, but it does give purpose to our exercise!
Meanwhile there are ther flowers!
The Grand Tetons and Yellowstone
In September 2010 the NPA took a tour to the NW USA national parks. It is time I shared some of that adventure, over a series of slide shows. This is part one of that adventure. Costens Point – August 30, 2021
As we are still in lockdown and as I am still limited in distance I can walk, this short trip is the perfect morning stroll before the 11.00am announcements! It is a 1970s addition to Royal National Park and the footprint of earlier dwellings are still visible.
And, yes, there is a lot of weeding that can happen to rehabilitate the site!
