Month: October 2021
We Return to the City
OK, so not quite as “natural” as most offerings… but given we have not been anywhere near the centre of Sydney for more than three months, it is worth remembering that it IS there and that it is worth a visit!
Dharawal National Park
We Sydneysiders are allowed to venture beyond our LGA, though still within the Greater Sydney region, as of today. What better excuse but to meander but a short distance away to a familiar national park that has been out-of-bounds for over 100 days! Rules are rules but we were safer there than in any supermarket! Anyhow, safe from the world, we had a short morning meander ….. enjoy
Orchids in my Locality
The slide show attached is my set used for a presentation in a Webinar to the National Parks Association of NSW on October 6th. It does not have music and the images do not transition automatically.
Wandering on the Wises Track, October 2021
It is the 1st October and very early. We are ahead of the large crowds… indeed, we only met two other pairs of walkers and those pairs were also intent on enjoying the wildflowers.
Come along…. the ducks are in large numbers and the leeks are still going strong. Why, swe even found our first Bonnett for the season
