Our 3rd trip to Lord Howe Island, completed between 8th and 14th June 2026, was also our first outside of the summer visiting team but coincided with the Providence Petrel.

As I was still in recovery from a full knee replacement, this time we didn’t even consider the climb to either Lidgbird or to Gower and we also skipped the boat tours, having done that on earlier visits.

Many of the places were closed and the island was quiet. It was, therefore, the perfect place to have quiet walks, enjoy the birds, wallow in the palms and just be!

The attached PowerPoint has been designed to transition every 5 seconds. I didn’t add music. But the images will take you from departing Sydney to flying back in at the end of the trip!
