This is a ;pictorial of a walk I led on 29th July 2024. The walk out and along Karani Ridge was a slow, meandering affair as we soaked up the beauty of nature. The return walk was, by contrast, faster, as we sped to the afternoon tea down at Audley! (OK, I admit it, the cheesecake!)

It’s a sunny day in mid-July, 2024, though the ground is saturated from recent rains. It is also a school holiday week. That translated into huge numbers also visiting the coast but we really did not need to worry about them as we began this journey way back at the Visitors Car Park and not at the honeypot that is the hale-watching platform.

Attached is a pictorial of that walk. What is missing in that pictorial is the pleasure of being out and seeing others also love being out and the dream that in so doing they, too, will fight for its protection.
